Friendster - Horoscopes

Friendster - Horoscopes: "All the shopping and adventure-seeking you've been up to lately has sure been fun, but it has also done quite a job on your budget. The rainy-day fund isn't getting any bigger on its own ... It might be time to face the fact that you need to tighten your belt and kiss some of those fancy expresso drinks goodbye -- for a little while. A small sacrifice here and there will make a big difference over time. Do yourself a favor by setting a savings goal -- and sticking to it!"

LOLz, That's the Aries horoscope I got today on friendster. God! 5.70 for that mocha is not expensive, lolz atleast to me it aint, if I have been living like a preppy princess in pink, why should I change. Oh my, haha...

Haha, probably an eye-opener. Ok, think of the future, I shall. Im gonna marry a man who owns a cafe. Or we could probably open one. Then I need not cut back on my coffee. Hhaha.

Hey, I had a lot of fun really, it is noticeable. My mum actually said I look different. LOL, aren't I always like that, lolz. The answer I get back is 'its just different'. I dint know happiness or being happy that is, could have different faces. But im glad.

I managed to watch Man U play against Benefica with the TV swivelled perpendicular to where I sat, although I must admit, between the 45th-55thmin, I dozed off. Really... Blame the couch for being too comfy. I chose the it rather than that Widharja daybed for a reason!! Lolz. I guess, sleepiness got the better of me. So, anyways, I did managed to see that brilliant volley by Saha. Real was on a rampage...5-1. Oh who cares anyway. Man U won, lolz. Better late than never.

Oh ok, till I return, from shopping, lolz, just kidding! If I do shop, its for the twins. Who I felt move...Lolz Pinky Jr... haha, man the jokes we cracked.

Monday's Always An Interview Day

I know I know, today's Friday. But I've been so caught up that I can only find time now. Im not an avid blooger so I guess its alright... Monday the 4th of September... I went for an interview. Met Nikky and we sat in US Starbucks. Had mocha with chocolate chip. What the hell right... I never have my mocha with anything else.... Well I deserved it, I did ask Nikky to make the orders while I was busy writing... Its ok though... But wouldn't want it for a second go. Hah.

LoveD the Starbucks @ USq... It was a haven....

Anyways, hope I get the call. I am a pretty face so please....calll meeeee!!!

Haha, desperation, it leads to ditching your self-centeredness, pride and the stick up your ass and converting to major selling of one's self. Well, I only learn from the best....

Okay... If I don't get it then, Monday the 11th is yet another interview day for me. I don't know why but I tend to relate Mondays as career advancement days. Queer, I know but I guess its fine right. I hardly get Monday blues these days, well I learnt not too enjoy too much on Sundays... But with the EPL back and all, I can only hope to keep up my clean sheet. Hahah.

Aleast at the time being Im getting my priorities straight. Yup....Will tag if I get called...

Until then. The Goldie of an Aunt, aren't I too young to be an aunt, haha, Pinky Harpreet Kaur is leaving the building... I dreamt amany things....Well I slept at 4 in the morning of Friday...But I woke early at 1030 and felt quite rejuvenated. Haha, the wonders in lack of sleep.

Au revoir

My Saturday Rendezvous

Well this Saturday it did not rain. Thankfully, but the sun and the heat........ Left me strained. Dehydrated and drenched of the natural 'funk' enzymes. Haha, I doubt im making sense, but let me tell you about Saturday the 2 of September!!!

Me and Nikky got up early to finally search for the last two pieces of the Jigsaw Strait Times- A Part Of My Life Contest. Yes we got it the last piece and the clue depicting that the venue was at the esplanade. Duh, it was afterall a picture of the esplanade. So we got up at 7. Ready and all set by 8. We reached the secret venue only known when one found the last piece of the puzzle. First prize was a 60''HD TV. Its too huge...I did not want that. I wanted the 2nd-6th prices, either ones. The vouchers were $5000-$2500 subsequently. That was what I was eyeing for. Haha. Standing under the Huge canopy and surrounded by a lot of people under the blazing hot sun really sucked the energy out of me. Thank god the night before we had dinner with chachi and I bought 2 portable battery charged mini fans. In yellow & green. Haha, my brasil colours. I had one with me and the other is with chachi. That helped me a lot. I could feel the trickle of sweat down my spine. Oh!! We didn't win anything in the end. But still im glad I took part. With Nikky as my companion, we look forward to next year.

We had breakfast at Mac'D... And We each had our own large drinks. Atleast I finished mine. Haha... We then ventured to Marina Boulevard, and afterwards went on to Harvey Norman where we idolised all the pretty candle stands. Onwards to Suntec then. Nikky bought this great jumper in Shocking pink from The LP Zone. All their sweaters/cardigans and jumpers were going for 15 bucks. Only afterwards we realised it was reversible. Haha... Great right!!! I bought new shades!! For 20 bucks. Yeah.....We pretty much dilly dallied in Suntec until we received a call from Simmy. She asked us to join her together with chacha and chachi for lunch at Little India.

The food at the New Outlet of The Banana Leaf Apollo, which is situated at the Little India Arcade, wasnt like before. Its a new outlet, I had Mango Sorbet! Yeah, it was de-li-cious! Haha. Well I was dehydrated right, so I did need to replenish. Nikky whereas had a full meal, only she and chachi did. I was filled to the brink with liquid so I was happy with the sorbet that cost a whopping 7.50. Haha. Aristocratic! After my sorbet lunch, we parted with Nikky who went on to catch up with her friends @ Starbucks.

We had walked up to Mustafa Centre. Where we did more shopping. If you want good and original bollywood remixes then MC is the place to get it from. After atleast 15minutes of pure air conditioning bliss, we made our way to the taxi stand. The cab did come quickly too... Thank goodness.

I was glad I reached home. Energy drained out and pure fatigue was overwhelming. But some how I actually felt great to be home. My energy level actually got a boost, surprisingly! By the time we got home it was around 6. Me and Simmy just relaxed together with Mummy. Then, Papa came back followed by Nikky 2hrs later and then we watch how pathetically Arsenal played. Then at 1110/2311. Someone knocked on the door, my house door of course. It was an Indian man. He muttered something that to my ears sounded like 'Im from the Bangla Association'. Of course I panicked! What crap would the 'bangla association' want with me. Haha... Remember I did stand under a 'heat canopy' for 3hours! My brain was abit slow, I admit. And again, he repeated course he knew I didn't hear him loud and clear because I went 'bangla association', I even turn to Simmy, Mummy and Nikky and said the Bangla Association. So hence I thought one of us must have given a donations or something, God, but this time I heard him. He was from Banana Leaf Apollo. The one in Little India Arcade! And he took out a pink card from his pocket. I was virtually rooted to the ground. My IC in the hands of a man I do not know. Wait, I didn't even realised I had lost it in the first place. I was strucked in awe!!!

I merely uttered a simple thank you. And he left as I pondered and relieved the moments in the restaurant. I had not even taken my wallet out of my bag. Then I remembered, in the morning when me and Nikky had gone to witness the live draw at the esplanade, Nikky had given me my IC so incase I won I wouldn't freak out and find my IC anxiously. So unglamorous right. Haha! Hence it was in my pocket all along. Count my lucky stars I did not drop it at Suntec! Just imagine... Immediately, I emailed a thank you message to the newpaper.
Which was published the very next day.

Dated 3rd September, Page 19. -Harpreet Kaur.....

Whoever you are, You deserve a treat. I will go hunting you down. Haha... Hope you look forward to meeting me....again. Thanks again for the personal delivery.

1 Sept 2006

Aha!!

What a day it was. I accompanied SF to SSDC to catch up with her driving teacher. Bought chocs for her too which astonishingly I had to hunt for. Iwas basically in a myriad of police and thief versions, thief being Ferrero Rocher of course. It isn't even the holiday season yet! No where close atleast.

Gosh, after that we proceeded onwards to the library which was heaven, thanks to cafe galilee's ice blended mocha. One could literally hear me go arrrhhh!!! haha. Its great to have your favourite drink sliding down your throat as the hot sun blazes...At the library, amk, we borrow books, chatted, and I guess gossip too. Since it was getting pretty late as I had to be in the temple soon, we left and went our separate ways.

I had met Simmy in the Hindu temple where we made more new friends. I was as usual late. Aren't I always late. Yup. Hah, Punjabi timing. At the temple, people were all bickering and continually kept glancing at both me and simmy. I guess we stood out. In casual wear and obviously very Punjabi looking girls. The new edition to the babysitters club including a pair of pretty fair skinned Indians. They spoke fluent English that seemed to flow out of their mouths like water and was perhaps barely 5 years old. The girl was showing off her colored nails to me. But as I showed her my manicured ones she was speechless. Haha, didn't the cat caught her tongue. Debu, the charming 5 year old, who so far can count up till 8 was my butler for the day. I guess she could sense the dehydration in me as she offered me cups after cups of cold water. She'd simply stand infront of me and ordered me to gulp it down quickly and before you know it, she was back with another cup filled to the brim with cold water. What an angel, although she took almost a decade to finish up her meal. Im such kid lover...

After that, simmy & me took a cab to the coffeehouse in our area to catch up with chachi and chacha. We had dinner together and caught up on times too. Chachi has really blossomed. She's looking bubbly as ever. And too cute I must add... Dinner was simple since me and simmy weren't eating but we had two rounds of satay. Haha... The night ended well, send chachi and chacha safely to their cab and proceed home. Back home, it was a quick wash-up and bed time...

Le' Sheesha Alfresco

Ok, we, being me sy 1d sf js & her boo, went sheesha-ing. It was the 31st of August. What a nice place to spend the last day of the month at. Everything was perfect. Except that we just didn't get a chance to fully enjoy ourselves... We have yet to grow accustomed to js's bf. So anyways, the placewe went was alfresco!!! We even had a private room all to ourselves...

We practically entered sheesha heaven @ Arab street. Open roof concept. Pure Paradise. Haha, we had a personal room to ourselves. Great ambiance and definitely queer drinks. The weather was good too. Initially it was wet, guess we cooled it down. Haha, us being cool and all. Haha. A part from the Arab men who kept looking, wait more like staring, into the room through the half glass door each time they passed by. I had sy to my right and sf, who was busy immersing herself in the assshy peach sheesha, to my left. They were probably eyeing sf. I guess she caught they eyes as it was clear she was definitely enjoying her time.

I dint quite enjoy myself, should have gotten mint. It was an ash experience. No pun intended. Pure Ash... It felt like smoking charcoal.. Or ashes. Haha, but none the less we enjoyed ourselves. We ate at zam zam. Supper comprising of murtabak and what was the other dish... Oh yeah mee goreng. Hah, am glad sy knows how to enjoy exquisite meals. Can't wait to evaluate his gf. Haha. Heard of 2 guys a girl and a pizza place, well this was close, 2 girls a guy and a murtabak stall. Haha. Then we had fun, sheesha part we were self conscious. What with being with a newbie and all.

It was a great day. Had fun. Looking forward to the next outing...
Here are some of the pictures we clicked!
Sorry for being back dated, hell, better late than never right. Enjoy!!!
